The Need
A number of experienced nuns are more than ready to perform strict quiet retreats to widen their understanding of the profound Dharma and deepen their realisations.
Going for stretches of retreat has been a traditional method for many serious practictioners, ordained or lay, in Tibet. Retreats are definitely a must in order to make proper use of the human body.

Leave a Legacy - 
When you sponsor this retreat centre, it is not just about giving some funds to help acquire the land or build the retreat centre. It is about leaving an inheritance to Sakya Nunnery to enable the nuns to have a proper place to go into a retreat, with proper care and conditions, so that they are released from mundane activities in order to practise their meditations for the sake of all beings.

This Retreat Centre will complete the first set of Sakya Nuns facilities outside Tibet.
21 retreat rooms (with attached bath) are planned. One can sponsor a retreat room fully or partially.
Room sponsorship is at U$16,000 per room.  For co-sponsorships, the main co-ordinating sponsor has to take charge of the fund-collection and channel it to Sakya Nunnery.
