Sakya Nunnery is exempt from income tax under the Income Tax Act section 12A for donations received. It is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) for receiving contributions from abroad. Contributions can be made directly to the nunnery via bank wire transfer. Please note that we have separate bank accounts for international (foreign) donors and Indian citizen donors.

Online donation
Donors who wish to donate online via Paypal or credit card can do so via Sachen Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization which could provide tax receipt to USA tax payers. The Sachen Foundation supports monk and nuns, and Sakya nunnery is one of the institutions the Foundation supports. To go to Sachen Foundation donation page, click here.
